Welcome to a world that is stranger than the one you commonly know. Welcome to a world of love and lust, of magic and technology, of war and piracy. This is Strange Love, and we’re kidnapping you off to the continent of Trischadea.
The development of technology on Trischadea has taken an interesting turn from what it has done on other worlds, resulting in there mostly being made use of steam-based technology. Indeed, with this technology—though more highly advanced than some might expect of steam-based things—coupled with the troubling times, one could dub the world of Trischadea a steampunk world. But that is not all there is to this world, of course, as always there are many things to a world. Trischadea is inhabited by more than just humans: they live side-by-side with the Aerani, a race of vampiric beings descended from demons, and the Lycans, also known as were-animals, a group of once-humans infected and transformed by something supernatural that has made them into something new.
The continent of Trischadea is not as sizable as some might think, but it holds a lot of history. Once controlled almost entirely by the Roémanian Empire, it now holds five large countries that have unsteady relationships with one another, as well as the free city of the Pirate Republic. The age of today is an age of piracy spreading across the waves, outlawry ruling the lands and air piracy throughout the skies. The Roémanian Empire has gone since centuries and with it the order it tried to establish, but the discrimination and racism that it had spread still lives strong in some of its lands and even stronger in the kingdom of Azchyptuca that once was a part of the Empire. The two nations are still embroiled in a war with one another whilst Cypretini has been delivered to the hands of bandits and capitalism.
Meanwhile the Tsji’ruese Empire lies silently in the west, its magicians watching, and the communist land of Allondell lying in the cold north being untouched by it all, watching the lands further north than itself in fear of the return of creatures thought extinct. Creatures like giants, saber tooths and dragons. It does not help that rumors have begun to spread that a small number of dragon eggs have come in the possession of human hands—or Lycan or Aerani hands, possibly. Yet most civilians are not afraid, deeming it all mere myths. But what if… what if it all were to become true?
It is a strange world after all~
