everything here will help you better enjoy your stay at alkaline. are you admitting yourself or admitting a loved one? make sure you learn all of the policies to ensure the best safety within the facilities. you can also learn about the kinds of people who live here with us to help you get a better idea of where you'll be staying.

to help patients keep track of activities and events going on within the facilities, we like to keep our bulletin board as recent and updated as possible. make sure to check back frequently for any news or changes within the asylum.

our canons range from level one patients to staff members. we love original characters but we love our canons, too. make sure the playby you want to use isn't a canon if you plan on making an original character. claim your canon once you are finished with the app even if you have already reserved it.

this is for staff eyes only and is password protected. administrators and mods are the only ones allowed it. don't worry, it's nothing that important. mostly just codes and things.

this is where you come to fill out the application to become a part of the alkaline home. fill out the form as thoroughly as possible to make sure that staff can provide for you as well as possible. please do not post anywhere until your character has been accepted.

all patient information is kept within these files. the files are not accessible for patient confidentiality reasons and will be kept locked. we don't want anyone tampering with other's files, now, do we? that might cause some problems, so we prefer to keep things private her at the facilities.

patients should come here immediately after being admitted into the asylum in order to claim what is right fully theirs. this procedure is not optional but will keep you active within the community of alkaline. if you do not claim your face, admins cannot stop someone else from using it.

plotting is key to having a good time here at alkaline. plot your character with others and create as much drama as you'd like. try to experiment with new relationships instead of sticking to just one or two. make friends, lovers, and enemies.

the front gates are heavily monitored and under close surveilllance to keep prisoners patients from escaping. guards line the walls twenty four hours, seven days a week and always have a close eye for suspicious looking kids. however, you are totally welcome to come wander around. as long as you don't make a break for it.

these offices belong to the staff members and patients aren't frequently allowed in. patients are allowed in when escorted by a staff member. however, it's never stopped break-ins in the past. patient and staff records are kept here and are not to be tampered with.

like just about every other inch of the asylum, the common room is surveyed by guards armed and ready to sedate any threats. however, patients are allowed to mingle as they please with anyone that happens to walk in. only problem? the guards don't pay nearly as much attention as one might think. those level fours could get away with murder.

this is basically a gym equipped with basketballs, volleyballs, soccerballs, and any thing else you might need to fulfill your athletic necessities. attached is a small room with video games, a pool table, and a few couches.

the hallways have cameras in every corner, but there isn't necessarily anyone behind the cameras watching out. the hallways are supposed to be as safe as anywhere else on campus but it wouldn't exactly be hard to make someone disappear.

patients are welcome to come down the the cafeteria at any time during the day but meals are only served at three specific times. breakfast is between six and ten. lunch is served between eleven and one. dinner is served between three and seven. the cafeteria closes at eight.

technically, students aren't allowed back in the kitchens where their meals are being prepared. there are some medications back here that need to be mixed in with specific patients' meals. if patients were to get in, they could easily tamper with the dosages.

all patients are required some form of therapy at least once a week. special cases tend to come more often than that. patients are assigned specific therapists for consistency.

bathrooms are co-ed, but they are one person. as in, no stalls. it's one small bathroom with a toilet, a sink, a garbage can, and a shower. there are multiple throughout the building, especially within the dorms. patients are supposed to stick to the bathrooms on their own floor.

have you been a naughty boy or girl? if so, you're going to be thrown in a detention room. usually, you're in here by yourself but if we're running out of room, we'll shove two or three in a room together. there are cameras, but no one really wants to sit around just to watch you stare at the wall for twenty four hours. that's right. detentions usually last twenty four hours, give or take. depending on if we remember you're here.

if you're sick or injured, this is where you come. the nurses are usually pretty good about getting you in and out. there's one operating room in case of emergencies but its hardly ever used. the room is lined with dozens of white sheeted beds and it absolutely reeks of sterilization.

it's dark, it's scary, and it's full of spiderwebs. not too many people come down here. located within the depths of the basement, the furnace room is almost too hot to stay in comfortabley and it's full of gases that you probably shouldn't be breathing in.

the gardens are without a doubt the most beautiful place on campus. it's full of lively, beautiful colors. really though, it's just to make the place look nicer than it really is. the gardens take up a dozen or so acres in the backyard of the facilities.

if you take the stairs to the very top, you'll come to a small laddar that'll take you up to the entrance of the roof. over a dozen patients have been pulled off of the roof in suicide attempts, so since then, the roof is guarded and unaccessible during the day. night, however, it's free game.

the courtyard is a wonderful place to be on sunny, warm days. what sucks, is that it's hard to find a sunny, warm day in upstate michigan unless it's june, july or august. patients tend to hang out here because there aren't any surveillance cameras and they can pretty much get away with anything.

even staff members aren't allowed in the warden's office without special permission, let alone patients. the office is heavily locked and almost impossible to get into. special case profiles are kept in here. it is also where doctor sherona sleeps most of the time. no one really knows what else happens back here. rumors have it that some get tested. some get killed. there's only one way to find out.

patients are not allowed in staff rooms. staff rooms are one per room but they are not seperated by gender. dorms include one twin sized bed, a closet, a dresser for clothing, a television, and intercom features.

first floor is for resident level one patients. rooms are two per room. they include two twin sized beds, a small closet, and two dressers for clothing. there is no technology permitted within the room.

the second floor is for resident level two patients. they include two twin sized beds, a small closet, and two dressers for clothing. there is no technology permitted within the room.

first floor is for resident level three patients. rooms are one per room. they include one twin sized bed, a small closet, and one dresser for clothing. there is no technology permitted within the room. no visitors allowed. or at least, that's what the rules say.

the basement is where resident level four, or special cases, are supposed to live. special cases are not allowed to have visitors and are under surveillance. you could say these rooms are more like prison cells, but that's just a law suit waiting to happen. technically, special cases should not be let out of their [s]cells[/b] rooms without an escort, but they find their ways out.

this is strictly an out of character board. you can use it for introductions or just random chatter between members. don't be afraid to use our cbox though. please do not play ic games or post graphics here. we have seperate boards for those.

leaving so soon? that's okay, just let us know please. it's easier if you tell us you're leaving rather than just vanishing. this way, we can go ahead and delete things without having to try and figure out who is who. post abscenses here as well to ensure you don't get deleted from activity checks.
